L-Lysine is required for collagen synthesis and it may be important to bone health. L-Lysine’s therapeutic effect on bone could be related to an improvement of nitric oxide (NO) production and type 1 collagen synthesis by osteoblasts both in normal and in osteopenia bone. L-Lysine antagonises herpes simplex virus (HSV) growth in vitro and this effect may be important clinically. Research suggests that lysine enhances the renewal of structural proteins and may prevent the deterioration of aneurysms.
How to Use:
Adults:
Take 2 caplets 2 – 3 times a day.
Children 7 – 12 years of age:
Take 1 caplet twice daily.
Take on an empty stomach.

Interactions
Calcium supplements: Concomitant use may increase supplemental calcium absorption and decrease urine calcium loss.
