Pharmacological action: Benzoyl peroxide has in vitro bactericidal activity as well as keratolytic properties and reduces the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum. Indications: Benzac AC 5 wash is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Identification: White to off-white, smooth gel with a faint odour.
